Cut the globe into halves and make pendant lights out of each hemisphere. It's a great way to add a unique vintage touch to the room that is also functional. The characteristics of each globe are showcased beautifully when illuminated. This is the work of French artist Benoit Vieubled using 15 globes. Someone handy may be able to create something similar.
the second pic is so neat! I like the old globe ideas. I find them at garage sales occasionally. they are collectible. I need to make something cool with the old stuff I have!!
