Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese Sandwich!!!!!!

Source: Becky Bakes

This grilled cheese was so good and easy. I can’t wait to make it again! Enjoy!

Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese Sandwich
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, cut in half lengthwise and seeded (I used 1)
  • 2 slices sourdough bread (I used normal white bread)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, room temperature (I buttered the bread both sides, yes by accident)
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese, room temperature (3 decent, full size knife fulls)
  • 1/4 cup jack and cheddar cheese, shredded (Sliced Mozzarella (HEAVEN))
  • 1 tablespoon tortilla chips, crumbled (I omitted)
Place the peppers on a baking sheet with the cut side down. Broil on the top rack for 8-14 minutes until the peppers are blackened. Place in a ziplock bag and seal. Let cool until you can handle them, about 20 minutes. Remove the skins from the peppers. They should “pinch” off easily. Assemble the sandwich and grill 2-3 minutes per side. Feast!

Yeh I broiled top rack 10 min, let sit in pan till prepped the rest and threw it on sandwich and made it.

  1. yum! I HAVE to make these! This I something Jamie would actually eat also. I always make the same stuff for dinner. I bored with them. U know how much I hate the same thing ALL the time! I need a food change up for sure. When I'm not starving myself of course :)

  2. I finally made them! Sooo good! I'm totally making these for Jamie during the Packer game tonight!
    Here's how i made them:
-fresh jalapeno (It was good raw but maybe next time I will blacken them.)
-i used the Italian everything loaf bread they sell in the deli section at Walmart (the slices are small but good!)
-I used whipped butter and whipped cream cheese. It seems to spread better and I can use less if I want.(do you put cream cheese on both slices)
-I got three kinds of cheese freshly sliced form the deli section also. Mild cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack(my fav).
-I did use the chips. (whatever I didn't really notice them with everything else going on on the sandwich.)

I just rubbed my eye! Now it burns! LOL! I have to wash my hands!
