a perfect form of shabby chic.. U showed me this before i think. I was thinking about that style. I grew up in shabby so it weird to see it as chic. shabby chic basically means cool old shit... I was garage saleing in Green Bay around some old houses. it was a neighborhood sale. there were alley's and most sales were in the back of the houses. Some of the back yards were decorated so cool and the house were totally a shabby chic style. funny thing this area was downtown Green Bay by Boardwalk and Velp. Who would of thought? that y I said its funny to me. Don't get me wrong I love the style and sell it on ebay. maybe I have a talent for seeing shabby stuff and knowing its chic :)
some of those houses are over 100 years old. I had cabinets like that in my house when I was a kid. of course not the marble. at one time those houses were cool. over time they have been neglected and run down. some people still take care of it and they do look really cool. as I said don't get me wrong. I LOVE that style. just like the saying one mans trash is another mans treasure. its true..
